SIRIUS advokater love to win without turning anyone into losers. Is this possible?
For many years, we have worked with advanced conflict management, including mediation. Two of our partners are court mediators and several of our attorneys at law are certified mediators who work with private mediation on a daily basis.
We are experiencing that mediation is used more frequently and we are often appointed as mediators. Last week we conducted 6 mediations, and agreements were concluded in 5 of the cases. This is often the case – most mediations result in agreements between the parties in which the conflicts are settled and new opportunities arise. Normally, it takes only a few weeks to conduct a mediation whereas a lawsuit may take several years. “The beauty of the work is that the satisfaction is much greater for all the involved parties”, Gitte Løvgren Larsen says.
We are grateful we have the opportunity to work as specialists within this field.
Below is one of our recent references:
“In a case between two business owners and in my capacity as chairman of one of the parties, I had the pleasure of experiencing Benjamin Lundström as a mediator. In the beginning, both parties probably had the conception that mediation merely was a necessary step towards an arbitration proces. It went the opposite way; the parties reached a settlement containing items that could not be put into play in an arbitration or court proceeding. Thanks to Benjamin and his impressive empathy and prompt understanding of the essence of the case. Both parties felt that they had speaking time and that the mediator made an effort in having the other party understanding the views without compromising his objectivity and integrity. Benjamin quickly perceives the vibes in the meeting room and is prompt to intervene if the tone becomes a little to harsh between the parties. Without the help from such a competent and professional mediator with a knowledge of the conditions of business life and the ability to have the parties seeing new opportunities we would never have reached the goal.”
